UKNEST organized a highly successful exhibition and presentations on-board the aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales during her formal visit to Liverpool. The event, on 2 March, was attended by over 2000 guests, both civilian and military, that included local school-children, students, apprentices, graduates, technical and design staff as well as senior executives from across the UK. Everybody agreed that this unique blend of guests contributed to the inspirational “buzz” that filled the massive hangar of the ship.
Against the back-drop of one of the most impressive examples of UK engineering, young professionals gave presentations describing their careers and the exciting prospects open to people with STEM qualifications.
The key-note address was given by the Minister for Defence Procurement, Jeremy Quin MP.
