People & Skills
The people working group enables UKNEST to be recognised as a key strategic player in the talent management and resilience of Engineering, Science and Technology (EST) human capability across the Naval Enterprise.
Our strategy comprises the functions of attract, diversify, retain and develop EST people. We support the attraction of talent through inspiring the next generation in EST, informing subject choices at school, bringing the Naval Enterprise alive and influencing career aspirations, as well as demonstrating the exiting opportunities for mid-career transfer and career returners. We promote and support diversity to ensure talent is drawn from across society including, but not limited to, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, socio-economic background. We create resilience through delivering activities and interventions which help sustain an agile workforce for current and predicted skills demands.
