Member Meeting #58 Lockheed, Havant

Lockheed Martin UK hosted the Annual General Meeting and Programme Update for UKNEST on Thursday, 20th March. In addition to the formal proceedings, Scholars and UKNEST members were treated to fascinating tours and briefings, showcasing some of Lockheed Martin UK’s key capabilities, including Small UAS programmes and the Airborne Mission Systems product line.

A presentation from Matt Silver-Valance, Co founder of Submarine Racing Series showcased the new upcoming concept of miniature submarine racing, sparking much interest. Head over to SubRacing Series Limited for more information!

One of the main objectives of the meeting was for the members to meet the scholars, a vital group supported by UKNEST. This allowed the early career professionals to network and ask questions to experienced individuals, furthering their interest in a career in the Naval Engineering Science and Technology sector.

We would like to thank the team at Lockheed Martin for facilitating the visit, and to Tony Tite, Neil Morphett and Emlyn Taylor for hosting the day.
