Member Meeting #59 Thales, Crawley
On Thursday 24th July, UKNEST held the 59th Members meeting at Thales UK Crawley. Thank you to Ian McFarlane for organising the day.
In addition to formal proceedings, the attendees were treated to a site tour of the Type 31 TACTICOS suites. This included an in depth demonstration of the advanced Combat Management System, and an interesting overview of their internal communications integration facility. It was a pleasure to see the valuable contribution that the company gives to the UK Naval Enterprise.
We would also like to thank Laura Shrieves VP of Ultra Maritime and member board of trustees Women’s Engineering Society for being our guest speaker during the dinner. Laura shared her experience, which promoted vital discussion on how we could better support Women in all areas of the NEST industry.
